I posted a photo of the strappe reunion in ohio 1905. Our latest 2008 about
120 showed up. Finbarr O'Briens son Barry lives in Boston.

I have information that Finbarr sent to me many years ago probably about
the time of the big reunion in Tipperary and he claimed that the
Cunninghams decended from James Strappe and Bridget O'Sullivan who
had 3 daughters. Mary married Michael Cunningham and I have the
marriage record of James and also of his daughter Mary. James was my
greatgrandfather Walters brother. They also had a bro. William who ended
up in Mass. and with the exception of Patrick I have info on the whole family
plus the parents John Strappe and Ellen Lahy. I have connected a number
of the line and continue to research the family.
