Hi Betty. NicholasO'Connell (born 1891) was my grandfather's cousin. His father also Nicholas I believe, was my great granfather's brother(Patrick O'Connell emigrated to Philadelphia in 1884). The younger Nicholas also had a brother named Thomas who came to live with my grandfather's family in Philadelphia in 1909. I thnk the younger Nicholas also had a sister, Bridget. Where I am presently stuck in my understanding is that I don't know who the parent's were of the older Nicholas and Patrick O'Connell (born 1861).
Did any of the younger Nicholas' children stay in the Drangan area?
Thanks for your insights.

I drove through Drangan last summer without knowing until later that my great grandfather Patrick O'Connell was from thr Drangan area and emigrated to the US in 1884. I now wish I would have stopped in the area and perhaps looked up old family records. It was a beautiful area.
